Fire trucks and American Flag Quilts

Lois made these two fun quilts. This one is an almost dimensional window pane pattern with firetruck prints.

I quilted spikey paisleys with some circles in the mix.

Here's a fun flag pattern.

This was the perfect opportunity for some red, white, and blue variegated thread.

I couldn't resist quilting some straight lines across the checkerboard pattern of this quilt.

And added some red curls for contrast in the borders.

Scrap Busting Quilt

This was my do.Good Stitches quilt called Scrap Busting Quilt Block. I love how it turned out! The bigger squares use 4" squares. 

I love it when a quilt pattern creates secondary designs.

I quilted it in all-over random designs.

Great job as always by the do.Good Stitches circle!

 

20th Anniversary Quilt

Last summer my brother and his lovely wife celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary. So, naturally my mom, sister and I planned a secret quilting weekend to make them this king sized beauty!

I had lots of fun quilting it with not only a variety of designs, but with various words and names too! Here in the center are their names and "20 years".

Their kids' names.

Places they've lived.

Names of their pets- Sketch and Kari

I barely have enough room on my floor for this one! They were very surprised when it was gifted and very touched. And (Spoiler Alert!) a smaller couch quilt was made out of the scraps and trimmings of this one so the kids have a matching quilt too!
