Green and Purple Embroidered Quilt

Yvonne brought me this beautiful green embroidered quilt.

One block down, 11 more to go!

I added some ribbon candy and leaves in the borders and sashing.

More flowers and swirls in the larger outer borders.

Thanks Yvonne! I just love how this one turned out!

Lotus Flower

MaryJo made this beautiful Lotus Flower quilt in peacock themed fabrics. Gorgeous!

I custom quilted it in feathers, curls, and some ruler work.

I added some more peacock feathers in the corners and filled in the rest with pebbles.

The outside border got some simple S-curves.

Thanks MaryJo! I love how this one turned out so much!

All Drezzed Up

Becki made this version of 'All Drezzed Up' by Diane Harris

These are the before quilting pictures.

And this is a quilting in progress picture. She used vintage feed sacks and other vintage fabrics along with chenille to outline each block.

I LOVE the look of the double lines radiating out from the block. I echoed the outside of the smaller plate and added a swirl in the center.

And in the alternating blocks- curls, more outlining and pebbles in the centers.

The original pattern has scalloped outer edges, and Becki wanted to do the same. So, not knowing where exactly where the curves were going to land, I quilted with a half feather on the inside and filled in with pebbles along the outer edge so that no major design elements would end up on the cutting room floor.

I just love how this quilt turned out! Thanks Becki!
