Peggy's charm square quilt

Peggy-a beginner quilter- made this vibrant quilt.

Feathered swirls in the colored squares, loops in the white setting triangles, large bubbles in the narrow white border and more feathered swirls in the pieced colored border.

What a fun quilt!

A peek at her pieced scrappy back. Thanks Peggy!

Bee Hexagon quilt

Teresa made this hexagon quilt using a bee themed fabric line.

I did some ruler work in the setting triangles to accent the stars.

For the hexagons, I just outlined a quarter inch around the inside and filled in with swirls to keep it simple and let the fabrics shine.

Thanks Teresa for another fun one!

About Trout

Shelia made this About Trout quilt pattern. This is the second time I've quilted this pattern. Teresa made the first.

She wanted it quilted similarly to the last one, except hers has a border with dimensional fishing lures.  I quilted straight back and forth lines around them.

Large swirls and pebbles around the trout.

Each fish is quilted a bit differently than the rest using color coordinating threads.

A peek at the back perhaps shows the borders a bit better.

Thanks Shelia! I enjoyed this one probably more than the first since I already knew what I was doing this time around.  It went much faster!  Someone can send another About Trout my way any old time. :)

Rita's log cabin

Rita made this lovely brown and cream log cabin quilt using light yellow centers.

Longarm feathers in the dark brown border, feathered curls in the small light brown border, and a small feather in the little cream border.

For the blocks- in lightning streak arrangement- I did a feather in the cream, and curls and shells in the brown.  I c2c'd the yellow center squares.

Thanks Rita! I think it turned out very well!

Lois's blue batik

Lois made this large quilt with blue, green and brown batik fabrics. So pretty.

I quilted all-over curls and purls on it. It is actually #58 in Tracy Russell's book Free Motion Quilting 101. It's got 100 different FMQ designs and she's coming out with another book really soon. I needed some new designs- I was getting in a rut, quilting the same few designs over and over again.

Thanks Lois!

Beaver and Peas

Jessica made these adorable baby quilts. These busy beaver prints were too cute!

I took a cue from the fabrics and quilted an all over wood grain design on it with a gray thread.

The back.

This one was adorable as well with the little animals and vegetables. I went with a peas-in-a-pod theme to go along with one of the fabrics.

The back.

The pea pod fabric.

The whole quilt.  Thanks Jessica!!

Jessica's baby quilts

Jessica sent me a stack of baby quilts to keep me busy.

Loved these farm fresh fabrics.

Some feathered swirls to help keep it gender-neutral.

No pile of quilts from Jessica would be complete without some Lilly Pulitzer fabric!

There were two baby quilts this time.

I did some giant curls with large paisley shapes all over on this one.

Thanks again Jess!  You can check out her Etsy page where she sells a lot of her adorable and amazing quilts.

Donelle's I spy and Jessica's trucks

Jessica made this adorable construction zone quilt. I quilted an all-over triangle design on it.

Triangles and double bubbles too.

Donelle made this adorable I Spy quilt using a printed panel and some added borders.

Double bubbles in the border and swirls in the rest to keep it simple for playing the game.

(Bristle block placed for scale purposes.)

Thanks Jessica and Donelle!
