Donelle's X's and O's

Donelle made this massive X's and O's quilt out of a lot of scraps.  I don't think any two fabrics are the same!

I quilted an all-over design of feathered swirls and paisleys.

What a fun quilt Donelle!

Molly's Dance T-shirt quilt

Molly made this T-shirt quilt out of all her dance shirts as she graduated from high school.

I had a lot of fun quilting this one with feathered swirls and random other fun things here and there.

I used a bright pink thread all over on it as it coordinated with her sashings and bright pink is just so Molly anyways.

I put a double bubble (that's what I call those circle in a circles)  in each cornerstone.

Lots of fun swirls and feathers to fill the background and borders.

The back. No quilt is allowed to leave my house without a little dance on it from my little 3yo ballerina.

This was Molly's 4-H project and she ended up getting a State Fair Alternate on it and lots of good praise from the judge.  Great job Molly!!

Split 9-Patch--DGS Haven Circle

Remember my Split 9-patch tutorial? Well here is the finished quilt! The Haven circle gals came through yet again with some great blocks. One person made theirs more teal than blue so it worked out to showcase them in this zig-zag layout.

I added a couple borders to set it off and to make it a little bit bigger in size.  I did swirls in the larger border and double bubbles in the gray.

The interior got some all-over swirls.

I just love how it turned out!

I would love to make this pattern again-for keeps!

A peek at the pieced back. I used some leftover yardage from past DGS quilts.

Gotta love a coordinated scrappy quilt! This quilt went to a new charity for us- Bluebonnet Trails Community Services in Round Rock Texas. They recently shared a pic on their Facebook page with this quilt. I just love seeing it in caring and appreciative hands! Gives me the warm fuzzies.

Katie's fractured strips

Katie made this really cool quilt with some batik fabrics, some strip piecing and then slicing the blocks.

I quilted an all-over design going off of the leafy feather design in the fabric. Swirls with pointy feathers coming off.   I had the perfect variegated thread that went from brown to orange and yellow, so the quilting fades into the quilt in some places and stands out in others.

The cream back.  Thanks Katie--another nice one!

T-Shirt Quilt-Mary Jo

Mary Jo brought me her daughter's tshirt quilt for her high school graduation.

The poly batting along with her fleece backing made for a super soft and cozy quilt with lots of great definition.

I did paisleys in the background while custom quilting around the printing, adding a little fun flair here and there.

I like the back.

Thanks Mary Jo- this was a fun one!  More t-shirt quilts to come.

Urban Birthday

Becki made this awesome Urban Birthday quilt using her Quick Curve Ruler.

These undulating shapes are super fun to quilt.

I quilted feathers in the gray and curves in the prints.

Thanks Becki!
