Karen's 9-Patch T-shirt Quilt

Karen made this T-shirt quilt for her granddaughter who graduated from high school last year. I really like the 9-patches, which she told me, happened my accident.

Sometimes choosing a thread color is tough with all the light and dark shirts involved. This time I went with a light gray thread.

I quilted all-over paisley swirls, and outlining the shirt designs.

I like to add a few other designs here and there where there's big empty spaces.

Thanks Karen!

Janet's San Diego Panels

Janet pieced together SIX of these panels that are all about San Diego, CA.

Janet lived in the San Diego area at one time, so these quilts have special meaning to her and her family. She decided to back them each with fleece, and without any batting.

I quilted all-over designs--a different one for each of these three.

A fleece back shows the quilting so nice!

The next set of three are all the same, just in brown.  Janet got bonus points for having one piece of backing that would fit all three tops. Saves me so much more time!

The same three designs went on the browns as did the blues.

A brown fleece back.
Thanks Janet!

Baby Farm Animal Panel

Linda pieced this adorable farm animal panel for a baby quilt.

I outlined the animals and backfilled with a large meander.

A ribbon candy and double bubble design for the two borders. Pretty adorable Linda!

Donna's Fall Geese

This quilt top was brought to me by Donna. Donna had attended a household sale where they were selling completed quilt tops for only $10 apiece! Needless to say she came home with a trunk-load of quilt tops and other sewing goods.

This flying geese quilt was one of them! I could not have pieced these little geese better myself.

I went with an all-over design in a gold colored thread.

Lots of leaves and swirl designs.

A peek at the back.

Thanks Donna! So jealous of your amazing deals!
Can't wait to see what else you brought home that day.

Hawkeye Quilt

Rhonda made this super simple quilt with just some yardage of Iowa Hawkeye fabric and a seam down the middle.

I used my bright yellow thread on this one and quilted lots of swirls, paisleys, I's, and stars.

See it now? This is the back; a solid black sheet.

You can see the yellow thread best in this pic.

The batting is wool, so it has some weight to it for sure!

I also bound it by machine with the extra backing fabric.
Thanks Rhonda!

Embroidered Elephant Baby Quilt

Rose made this adorable embroidered baby quilt. But, this is the back of it.

Here she is.

An all-over in white thread with feathered swirls and clouds.

So cute. Thanks Rose!

Norene's Flock of Geese Quilt

Norene made this one-block-wonder quilt with a Flock of Geese block and a layer cake.

She requested 'fancy' quilting, so this was what I came up with.

A bit of ruler work that traveled well and a bit of pebbling.

A peek at the back. Thanks Norene!
