Farm Baby Quilt Panel

Linda gave me this cute farm scene panel to quilt up.

I quilted the borders by outlining the cows, and some circles in the light blue border.

I outlined and filled in open spaces minimally. This is to be a baby quilt, and not a wallhanging, so comfort and coziness was key.

Thanks Linda!

Rita's Double Irish Chain

Rita made this lovely Double Irish Chain quilt and wanted some custom quilting on it.

Inspired by the circles in the fabric print, I quilted a lot of circles and double bubbles.

It took some extensive internet researching to come up with a design in the light areas, but ended up finding this design via Pinterest. I'd post the link, but it no longer works. The first few blocks I used my water soluble marker quite a bit on.

Once I got the hang of it, the markings just become center points.

Those partial blocks are tricky, but I think this design was easy enough to alter with the missing points than most of the others I'd seen.

I really wanted to use some of my blue threads, or even a turquoise variegated spool I have, but ended up just using a gray on the blue areas and a light silver gray on the lighter areas.

Thanks Rita!

DGS- Disappearing Hourglass

Way back last October, I was in charge of our do.Good Stitches blocks. I had recently traveled to Missouri Star Quilting, and was still reeling in MSQC inspiration. I had my Haven circle make these Disappearing Hourglass blocks, using the turquoise/orange/green yardage I had for borders as color inspiration.

I had enough blocks to do each color on the diagonal.

I added a narrow cream colored border as well as the wider colored print border. Swirls and feathers was the quilting theme on this one.

This quilt was sent off to Texas for Covered In Love charity. You can see Kat's blog post about my last two quilts here. Great work Haven Circle!

Carol's Gold and Red Stars

Carol made this beautiful quilt with dark red, cream, and golds. Metallic golds.

I custom quilted the borders and filled in the inside with an all-over.

Feathers, curls, and more feathers.

The blocks got half-feathers and curls.

A peek at the back.

Thanks Carol!

Barb's Flannel Stars

Barb made this beauty out of flannel fabrics.

I quilted an all-over half-feathers with curls and leaves.

I used a light brown thread.
