Lloyd or Lola

Jessica made this adorable llama quilt from an Elizabeth Hartman Pattern called Lloyd & Lola. The pattern has two llamas, but Jessica decided to just make one.

I'm not sure if this one is Lloyd or Lola, but it's pretty darn cute!

I outlined the llama and added some details in matching thread colors.

Hello there!
(Not sure what that black mark is by the ear? Some sort of technical digital glitch- it is not part of the actual quilt.)

I filled in the background with lots of fun random things.

That was the easy part!

A bit of ruler work to outline the outside as well as the blanket. I followed the vertical lines in the green fabric and ribbon candied the coral bits. I don't use meandering much, but it seemed the best choice for the texture of the brown fur.

Big swirls for the green garlands.
Thanks Jessica! This was a fun one for sure!

Cindy's Flannel Squares

Cindy made this cozy quilt with all flannels.

I quilted all-over with feathered paisleys.

Her backing is Fireside fleece and shows the quilting really nicely.

Thanks Cindy!

These were our blocks for, well I can't remember which month, (I think either January or February),  but they were big purple flying geese blocks in a neat layout.  The quilter in our group laid them all out like the two blocks on the right in a gradient of pinks and purples. Very neat!

Marty's Big Red Border Quilt

Marty made this fun bright colored quilt. It is going to raffled off as a church fundraiser, so she wanted to get a bit fancy with the quilting.

She had a huge red border that I split up with a feather, ruler-work feathers, and pebbles to fill in the in-between.

I decided to define the HST blocks with ruler work diamonds and loops in the triangles.

Undulating feathers in the light blue border.

And the inside I quilted all-over half feathers, curls, and leaves.

The big red border and all the bright colors inside makes me think 'circus tent' for this quilt.

Thanks Marty!

Candidate T-shirt Quilt

Mary sent me this T-shirt quilt to do up.

I like the use of solids to make the shirts really stand out.

I quilted lots of paisley swirls, feathers, and things all over, along with outlining the designs- My usual t-shirt quilting methods.

The back.

Thanks Mary!
