Peg brought me this sweet embroidered baby quilt. I believe the story goes that Great-Grandma had traced these from a coloring book (probably?) and hand embroidered them. She has since passed and Peg volunteered to put them together for an extended family member's new little one! Love those multi-generational heirloom projects. So special.
I outlined the critters and filled in backgrounds. This happy little ducky needed a wing to help hold him together.
A spineless leafy feather for the outside border, and more leaves for the sashings.
A horrible peek at the back.
Thanks Peg! I loved working on this one.
