Becki (my mom) made this quilt for my Dad, a big time western movie fan, for Christmas.
I did a lot of outlining, but didn't want to do too much quilting to it.
The reason I didn't want to quilt it too much was because of the minky backing. The nap of the 'cow hide' was pretty long, and as you might be able to see, the long fibers are quilted down. I was pretty pleasantly surprised that it didn't come up through the top of the quilt.
To solve the issue, I had my little helper brush the fur out of the quilting lines. It looked good after that!
