Janet's Big Blue Pinwheels

Janet made this lovely blue and white large pinwheel quilt.

Lots of spinning pinwheels means cool summer breezes, right? So I quilted lots of large breezey swirls.

I used a white thread.

Big pinwheels and big echo-y swirls.

A peek at the back.

Thanks Janet!

Katie's Iowa Motto

Katie made this wallhanging with paper pieced letters of the Iowa state motto.

I outlined the letters and backfilled with lots of swirls and feathery things.

I c2c'd the navy blue triangles.

For the border I quilted a wavy triangle design.

A peek at the back side.

Thanks Katie! A treasure for sure!

Lynn's Fall Panels

Lynn stitched up a few small sized quilts using some really neat printed panels. This first one features a couple of old mills.

I quilted all-over paisley and leaves in a gray thread color.

This next one shows a couple of covered bridges with some pieced leaf blocks on the side.

This one got swirls and leaves.

This panel says: Friends, like flowers, laugh, bloom, never fade.

Another all-over with curls and leaves this time.

What fun projects!
Thanks Lynn!

Norene's On Point 9-Patch

Norene made this fun and scrappy 9-patch on point and wanted it quilted fancy.

I quilted a loop design in the light setting squares.

In the 9-patches I did a single large loop across the top, then across the bottom, followed with a loop design back through the middle. It might make more sense in the pics below from the back side of the quilt.

For the narrow black border I quilted circles in a black thread, and just a simple old-fashioned meander in the polka dots.

The back.

Thanks Norene!

Julie's ABC embroidery- Round 2

Julie had me turn her beautifully embroidered ABC blocks into this adorable baby quilt for her newest grandson.

She had embroidered another one just like it earlier this year.
And then there was Connie's too from 5 years ago.

But this one it pretty much identical to the last one, quilting and all.

Loops and stars, with plenty of space between to make it soft and cuddly.

Thanks Julie!
