Norene's Batik Beauty

Norene made this batik medallion beauty.

A couple custom feathery borders here.

The center got a filler of paisleys and swirls and things.

There you go, now you can actually see the quilting.

Thanks Norene!

Christine's Farm, Rainbow Baby Quilts

A couple more from Christine- This cute farm baby quilt uses panel pieces and pieced blocks.

Blue minky backing.

This one is a cute rainbow jelly roll quilt.

I quilted large circles in the white sashings, and filled in the rest with lots of fun flowers and swirls and things.

Another minky backing. Love it!
Thanks Christine!

Christine's Ducks, 30's

Christine made these super adorable baby quilts. How cute are these ducks?

I outlined the ducks and gave them some raindrops to waddle through in the background.

Feathered swirls in the bright colored blocks.

This one features pink minky on the ends and a big line of white ric-rak. I echoed the ric-rak and quilted all over flowers and leaves in the 30's prints.

Thanks Christine-what fun and adorable quilts!

Abby's Tshirt Quilt

Abby-a graduating Senior- made her T-shirt quilt for her 4-H project this summer.

We were in a bit of a time crunch to get it quilted for fair--that's just how things go with 4-H projects!--so we worked out a deal that she and her sister would come over and babysit and do some house cleaning while I knocked out the quilting.

What a heck of a deal!!
*will quilt in exchange for house cleaning!*

A peek at the back.

Abby's quilt was selected for the Iowa State Fair! Yeah! Except there was no state fair this year. womp-womp. However, it was still judged at the state level, but we still don't know the results. Covid complicated things quite a bit, as we all know. We are grateful for our county for allowing our 4-H'ers the opportunity to have static exhibits and other fair events with lots of new rules and guidelines in place. Lots of other counties cancelled the fair entirely.

Congrats on a job well done Abby!

Jessica's Farm and Lilly Pulitzer Quilts

Jessica brought me a few quilts to do. Love this farm themed one. She is always so good at making sure her directional fabrics are all the right way.

And then there's me, who can't even get the photo posted the right way! lol.

Lots of paisleys and a few circles are in there too.

And it wouldn't be right of Jessica if she did not have a Lilly Pulitzer quilt for me!

Lots of flowers, leaves, and feathery curls for this one.

Thanks Jessica!
You can find this one and many more of Jessica's quilts available for purchase in her Etsy shop.

Becki's Twisted Ribbons

Becki made this Twisted Ribbons quilt. Does it look familiar? This is the pattern my sister designed and was on the cover of Quilty magazine a couple years ago. (see pic on the right) How exciting was that?!

I wanted to custom quilt this one as well, but tone it down a notch by not using rulers this time. It goes much faster.

I ended up doing a loop and c2c pattern that traveled well for me.

The blue area was filled in with some feathered swirls.

The back--so bright and cheery!

This quilt is going to end up in Hawaii as a thank you to a relation living there who is also an excellent tour guide. Or so I hear. :)

Thanks Becki (Mom)! Love it!
