Canyon

Sharon brought me this gorgeous quilt that was a block of the month kit by Wing and a Prayer called Canyon. This was a "before" shot that I used to search for custom quilting ideas. 

I didn't get a lot of inspiration that way, so I just had to make it up as I went along.

Most of the quilting is hand-guided with a little bit of ruler work here and there in the blocks.

I'm pretty happy with how it turned out! Sharon entered it in our county fair where it placed first in it's category. She also entered it into the Iowa State Fair where it did not ribbon.

Log Cabin/Star Block Quilt

Jessica made this lovely quilt- a log cabin/star block combo in blues, greens, and low volume fabrics.

I kept the quilting traditional with all-over feathers.
