Cowgirl and camping quilts

Jessica also made these baby quilts. The first is this super sweet pink cowgirl.

I quilted an all-over feathered paisley design with a few stars and swirls.

Next was this adorable camping themed baby quilt. One of the fabrics had a wood grain pattern, so I thought that would work!

the back.

Jessica sells these and a lot of her quilts on Etsy at Home in the Heartland.  And my sister Katie just opened up her Etsy shop- Tick Tock Quilt Shop where she is selling some quilting goodies and eventually some really neat patterns! So take a peek at what's for sale from these great ladies.

Jessica made this great 'puddle jumping' quilt.

I quilted a super sized swirl and big pebbles all over.

swirly water + pebbles = puddles!

Baby girl quilt

Here's another from Norene. A baby girl quilt this time. She added a granddaughter and a grandson within a couple weeks of each other, so she had to be prepared!

I did some funky feathers in those big borders, and c2c inside. I did my first attempt at piano keys along the outside border.

Norene's log cabin and farm baby quilts

Here's a little one from Norene. She made this using up scraps as a little quilt for those chilly car rides. I like how those dark logs make it almost look 3D.

I just did a free motion feather all over.

And here's another from Norene for a baby boy. A new grandson!
(My son likes to help me measure and take pics of my quilts. He loves playing with an old camera we have around. One that actually has film in it. It still flashes and makes noise, so it's a pretty popular toy among playmates.)

She requested outlining the farm scene. Then I did a custom flower pattern in the QST's.

Lots of stops and starts, which is a bit of a pain, but then just look at the back.

A Bright Braid

My sister Katie made this quilt, but I'm showing you the back first.

The outer border design is one out of Angela Walter's new book 'Shape by Shape'. Very simple and easy to do. And forgiving too. I like it.

And here is the front! So bright and cheery.

My crazy-8 loops would NOT look near as nice if the stripes weren't there to help guide me.

paisley swirls in the center with a few flowers thrown in.  Thanks for the fun and colorful quilt Katie--especially in the middle of winter.
