DGS & Bev's Vintage Tops

These were my blocks for September's doGood Stitches Nurture circle. A couple stars with a couple strips of sashing to offset them, and a couple of strips of pieced blocks for an outside border. The pattern is by Christa Watson and is called Starstruck. It is in her book called Piece and Quilt With Precuts.

Bev had a couple of UFO quilt tops from a family member that needed quilting and finishing up.

I quilted all-over designs in a white thread.

Half-feathers, leaves and curls.

I loved these vintage fabrics each paired with a different solid.

The back.

Bev also had this sweet little baby quilt.

Another all-over treatment with paisley swirls and flowers added to the mix.

Another pair of quilts have successfully made it out of long-term storage and out into the world. Thanks Bev!

Norene's RWB DNP

Norene made this neat Disappearing 9-Patch in red, white and blues.

I custom quilted the borders in loops, s-curves, and then a combo of both!

Going around the corners.

In the center, I quilted swirls with pointy feathers- to go with the borders.

The solid back shows the quilting nicely.

Thanks Norene!

Cindy's Log Cabin

Cindy made this nice log cabin quilt.

I custom quilted the borders with feather designs.

I filled in the log cabins with all-over feathers and swirls.

A peek at the back. Thanks Cindy!

Luanne's Baby Quilts

Luanne made a couple baby quilts. How fun is this first one??

This one is very striking with the primary colored simple shapes on the white background. Reminds me of the game Twister!

I kept the quilting simple with all-over paisleys and swirls.

Her next one is made with some funky hearts.

I took a cue from the background fabric and quilted all-over curls and hearts in a white thread.

Thanks Luanne!

Jessica's baby quilts

Jessica made a couple of baby quilts. This first one turned out neat.

Sometimes Jessica uses a thin batting that she doubles up, so it makes great quilting definition lines.

As you can clearly see. I love it!

Lots of echo-y swirls and paisley shapes.

Here is a cute dinosaur themed baby quilt.

I quilted some dinosaur spiked swirls, paisleys, and some double bubbles here and there.

Thanks for the cute little quilts Jessica!
She sells her quilting goods on her Etsy site Home in the Heartland. Check it out!

Becki's Pink Bricks

Becki made this neat brick style quilt using some fun bold large prints.

I quilted an all-over scalloped paisley and flower designs on it.

A look at how she pieced her leftover bricks into the backing.

Thanks Becki!

Norma's Grand Adventure

Norma made this Grand Adventures quilt from one of Missouri Star's tutorials using 10" squares.

I quilted an all-over design of paisley swirls and some leaves.

Oh. And I see a flower or two in the mix as well.

I just pick a few design elements and then make it up as I go. :)

Thanks so much Norma!
