Jan's Doggy Baby Quilt, Lois's squares

Jan made this sweet little baby quilt for her new grandson.

All over paisleys worked well for it.

Lois made this checkerboard quilt.

The fact that this quilt is all little squares made it a perfect opportunity to do a custom design in each block. No marking needed!

Here's a close-up shot of a single block.

It's pretty neat to see how one quilting design repeated over and over can create secondary designs- making it look more complicated and intricate than it really is! 

This is all done free-handed, just hitting all the right points and putting the loops in the right spots.

It's not perfect by any means, but pretty close enough. Ha!

Karen's Lazy Goose Quilt

Karen made this fun giant-sized flying geese quilt. It's called Lazy Goose.

I quilted all the geese in an undulating wavy line design, and the sky with lots of feathery swirls.

The geese were too large to do long ruler work with. I could barely get one to fit my 24" workspace.

So wavy lines was what I came up with.

Jann's Funky Log Cabins

Jann made this fun and funky version of a log cabin quilt.

I saw swirls and polka-dots in her fabric prints, and went with those designs for the quilting.

I quilted lots of all-over feathered swirls and echoed hearts.

Becki's Scrap Happy Rails

Becki made this huge quilt commissioned by a friend. The pattern is 'Scrap Happy Rails' from the book 'No Scrap Left Behind' by Amanda Jean Nyberg.

She started it back when we took a class from Amanda Jean herself back in 2018.

I quilted lots of large swirls and circles to soften up all the lines.

I used a light gray thread.

Love all these colors together!

Joyce's brown batiks

Joyce made this lovely quilt with a variety of blue and brown batiks.

I used my 'toasted caramel' brown variegated thread once again.

Lots of half feathers, curls and leaves.
