Anita's Jack-O-Lantern

Anita brought me this cute pumpkin wallhanging that she made and had even started quilting.

Another issue was that the backing fabric she used was upside-down. So she had a new piece to use for the back to put right-side up.

She wanted me to quilt in the borders.

I quilted my funkiest and spookiest looking feathers.

Anita had already quilted inside the pumpkin.

And outlined it with a decorative stitch.

It was fun to quilt "ugly" feathers for once!
Thanks Anita!

Anita's Blue and Green Quilt

Anita made this neat quilt with lots of fun blue and green floral prints.

I quilted all over designs of feathered swirls and leaves and things.

She had already stitched on her label, so I had to be sure it made it into the back of the quilt.

The back.

Thanks Anita!

Lindsey's T-Shirt Quilt

Lindsey made her own T-shirt quilt with all her high school activities shirts. I bet she has a lot more room in her closet now! It's a pretty big quilt.

This quilt was the perfect one to use a bright colored variegated thread on.

I had fun quilting all kinds of designs and outlining the shirt printing.

She requested that I do the binding by machine. I used the extra backing fabric to make the binding, stitched it to the back side and top stitched along the front.

I even made a label for the back using an iron on design from a book I purchased recently. She can write in whatever she wants in the shirt.
Thanks Lindsey!

Thanks so much Sharon!

Vintage Baby Quilt Re-do

Norene brought me this baby quilt that is her brother's from around 70 years ago. It had been hand tied and was falling apart, so she fixed it up and sent it my way to machine quilt with a new backing.

The fabrics are SO worn and thin, I dare not sneeze when working with it!

I kept it super simple with a big swirl.

You can see how thin the blue fabric in the bottom corner is- the batting shows through.

I'm betting most of these fabrics were from clothing.

Norene's brother is just going to have it to keep- it is not going to get used at all, if even displayed. So, we were not too concerned with perfection here.

Thanks Norene for the super neat little project!

Judy's Rolling Stones

Judy made this lovely quilt in dark green and burgundy.

I just did an all-over in half feathers, leaves, double circles, and curls.

I used a light gray thread to blend in with the dark and light fabrics.

Thanks Judy!
