American Hero Quilts

Last year I volunteered as a longarm quilter for American Hero Quilts, a charity that sends quilts overseas to wounded service men and women. I was sent 5 quilt tops and backings to quilt up and send back to the organization to be bound and sent to a recipient.

Big Kaleidoscope, Little Kaleidoscope

Joyce made this awesome Kaleidoscope quilt in rainbow colors.

If the pattern looks familiar on the blog, that would be because Joyce has made a gray version, and another baby quilt.

Sometimes you just find a great pattern that you enjoy making and end up making several versions!

MaryJo's Lust Have and Log Cabin

MaryJo made these two quilts- This pattern is called Lust Have.

And then there's this perfectly pieced log cabin quilt.

Just gorgeous.

Log cabin quilts are traditional, and to me that means feathers when quilting. So that's my default design.
