Alice made this gorgeous Butterfly Reborn quilt. The pattern is from the book 'Quilts Without Corners'. Alice and I both made this pattern in a class in our local guild. We were the only two brave quilters to attempt this ambitious (to us) pattern using a wedge ruler and ombre fabric.
We rode the wave of confusion out together as we each had different revisions of the same book, and the strip sets and instructions were not the same.
In the end it turned out beautiful and is definitely wall-hanger worthy!
The bands on the wings were a bit tricky to design, and ended up doing pebbles to fill in- using matching thread colors.
It turned out stunning Alice!
My butterfly is purple ombre and is all pieced together, it's just still awaiting a set of antennae before it can be quilted.
