Jessica's Confetti Crossroads Calendar Entry!

One day last spring Jessica tells me she has a quilt she is dropping off on a Sunday, and she needs it done by next Saturday so she can bind it quick and be in a photo shoot the next day.

Alright.
 Cool!
No problem!

Ack!

I decided on a fun geometric design that filled up all the squares in each block.

Some quick loops around the background of the blocks.

And some fun ribbon candy in the sashings.

I took lots of pictures! The lighting in these are much better.

I love how it turned out so much!

So off it went with Jessica, and I kind of forgot about it for a while.

Until August when I opened a piece of mail from APQ and saw her quilt in it! Honestly, I was about to toss it in the recycling bin when I saw something familiar on it!

So, this was a special promotion for a 2022 calendar complete with pattern instructions for each month. And yes, I sent in my check and order right away!

And here it is!! May 2022 baby!

And here's the proof. My name on the very bottom of the page. This is the only way I'll be a calendar girl! ha ha!
Thanks so much Jessica for the opportunity to be a small part of this publication! I'm pretty tickled about it for sure. I mean, the likes of Natalia Bonner and Kim Diehl and others are in there. And now Jessica! Congrats girl!!

Anita's Gray and Yellow Quilt

Anita brought me this fun gray and yellow quilt.

I quilted all-over flowers, leaves, curls, and some circles in the mix.

A nice peek at the back.

Thanks Anita!

Joyce's Cappuccino

Joyce made this wonderfully scrappy quilt called Cappuccino.

It was a big quilt as my little girlie can demonstrate.

I custom quilted the outer dark brown triangles with a feather design, and a loop design in the cream print squares.

Then the center area was quilted with all over designs of half-feathers, curls, and paisley shapes.

A look of the back.

Thanks Joyce!

Mary Jo's Kaffe Zig Zag

MaryJo made this fun little zig-zag quilt with some Kaffe prints. This was a tricky one to quilt as I wanted to customize it in each fabric, but I had to put it onto my leaders with the parallel sides at the top and bottom.

Luckily this was a small quilt, so it wasn't too bad. I basted the angled sides down as I advanced the quilt.

A look at the backside tells the quilting story better than I can say it.
Thanks MaryJo!

MaryJo's Mystery Quilt

MaryJo made this quilt as part of our local guild's mystery quilt. It turned out so neat!

I custom quilted each border- the print with paiselys and flowers, then feathers with a double bubble, and finally a little loop in the small gray border.

The center got feathered paisleys and more flowers and double bubbles.

A look from the backside.

Thanks MaryJo!

Karen's Creepy Spider Quilt

Karen made this really fun Halloween quilt.

Please don't clean your screen- those spiders are in the fabric print!

I quilted some spider webs in the hexagon blocks, and a jig-jagged meander in the background filler.

Little bats are on the back.
Thanks Karen for a really fun one!
