Lois made a couple of table runners. Same pattern- different seasons. It looks like I was just barely able to squeeze both runners onto the same piece of backing. Such a time saver when you can use the same backing for multiple small projects like these.
I did a bit of custom work on it by quilting leaves in the orange borders, and some loops inside each light colored square.
I used a variegated thread that has all the fall browns, golds, and rusty oranges.
The Christmas version got the same type of treatment, only a little different.
Holly leaves in the red borders, and a fancy swirl design in the center squares.
I used a dark green thread on this one.
