A Star Wars Quilt for Kale

Joan made this fun quilt for a special youngster, Kale.

How fun is this Star Wars fabric?

I custom outlined the letters and filled the white background in with stuff.

The rest is lots of paisleys, swirls, and some stars.

A cozy flannel back.
Thanks Joan!

DGS Avignon picnic

Another quilt made for do.Good Stitches here. This one is called Avignon Picnic. A very easy pattern to make- it uses 2.5 inch strips. The only tricky thing is that there are two different blocks- S and Z- that you need to keep track of.  I had a few extra loose units on hand so that I could easily sew up the right last few S or Z blocks that I needed while laying the quilt out. That way you don't have to think too hard about it!

I had my circle-mates use scrappy blues, greens, and yellows with lights.

Another photo shoot in the snow from way back last spring. We are NOT ready for the white stuff to show up here this fall.

I quilted all-over leaves and paisley swirls.

What a great scrap buster! It would be fun to play with the color placement in another version.

Our little label in the backside corner. Even my binding was scrappy!
Thanks ladies!

Jagged Little Pill DGS

Last year I had my do.Good Stitches group make these Jagged Little Pill blocks by Alyce. I had my circle sew these up in yellow, white and brown. I was going for a sunflower and daisies look.

It was fun to custom quilt it too!

All done.

A little photo shoot in the snow. This was taken back in March. Yes, I'm very behind in the blogging.

Kitty like it!

Our cute little label. Great job as always by our group!

Jessica's Confetti Crossroads Calendar Entry!

One day last spring Jessica tells me she has a quilt she is dropping off on a Sunday, and she needs it done by next Saturday so she can bind it quick and be in a photo shoot the next day.

Alright.
 Cool!
No problem!

Ack!

I decided on a fun geometric design that filled up all the squares in each block.

Some quick loops around the background of the blocks.

And some fun ribbon candy in the sashings.

I took lots of pictures! The lighting in these are much better.

I love how it turned out so much!

So off it went with Jessica, and I kind of forgot about it for a while.

Until August when I opened a piece of mail from APQ and saw her quilt in it! Honestly, I was about to toss it in the recycling bin when I saw something familiar on it!

So, this was a special promotion for a 2022 calendar complete with pattern instructions for each month. And yes, I sent in my check and order right away!

And here it is!! May 2022 baby!

And here's the proof. My name on the very bottom of the page. This is the only way I'll be a calendar girl! ha ha!
Thanks so much Jessica for the opportunity to be a small part of this publication! I'm pretty tickled about it for sure. I mean, the likes of Natalia Bonner and Kim Diehl and others are in there. And now Jessica! Congrats girl!!
