Joanne's Fall 16-Patch

Joanne made this lovely fall 16-patch quilt.

Ok, so these next two pics are terribly blurry, but it's what I've got of the front of the quilt.

She requested a meander with leaves, stars and moons.

The back.

Thanks Joanne!

Teresa's Christmas Tiles

Teresa made this awesome Christmas quilt.

I did some custom borders of feathers, large pebbles in the green, and more feathers in the red sashings.

I did a bit of custom work in the square tiles and filled in the rest of the octagon shapes with an all-over feathery swirl. I felt it was only necessary to do custom where it would show up the best.

Thanks Teresa!

Joet's Baby quilt

Joet made this adorable baby quilt using polo and Hawaiian shirts. She has made one similar before.

I quilted it with feathered swirls. She had me bind it as well. I did this on my regular machine by stitching the double fold binding to the back, then topstitching it down from the front.

The back turned out really nice.
2X3 flat Lego brick is there for scale purposes. :)

Thanks Joet!

And here is my DGS Haven circle block for October. Love these quirky little butterflies. It is just four 3.5 inch squares that you stitch and flip 2 wonky butterfly wings onto. It will make a 12 inch finished block. So simple, yet I had to redo one 3 times! I just couldn't get that wing to flip over enough!

Jessica's baby quilts

Jessica (aka. the Lilly Pulitzer fabric Queen!) made this quilt for her Etsy site.

Love these fabrics!

I quilted all over swirls and paisleys.

the back.

And here is this adorable modern baby quilt.

Lots of geometric designs in here. and lambs. I went with angular triangles and a few hearts here and there.

the back.

Some dapper little foxes.

Paisleys in the center and a big bumpy zig-zag in the border.

the back. Those are size 6 toddler feet for scale purposes.

I like the back.
Thanks Jessica!

One quilt design-2 different quilts

Carol made this lovely scrappy quilt. She will be giving it to her grandson, so knowing that I decided on a quilting design that was more contemporary than flowery.

I ended up doing an all-over giant swirl with a row of circles filled in here and there.

I think it turned out nice.

The curves contrast with all the squares and angles.

Her back.

Mary Jo made this DNP out of black, white and red fabrics.

I thought the same design would work with this quilt too!

I got a kick reading the 'articles' in her fabric. This one was about uncovering a surprised husband from an avalanche of fabric. I think a lot of us can relate to that!

Her back.

Thanks Carol and Mary Jo!

Susie's- A quilt for every season

This is the second installment of Susie's quilts. A quilt for every season! She's had these quilt tops done for a long time. They are older than my kids she says. (oldest is 4.) First up is this sampler in a fall apple theme.

I custom quilted the borders with feathers, swirls and leaves.

The center was filled with more of the same motifs.

Blue backing.

I guess this one is still fall, but more late fall than the early fall apple quilt. :)

Love how these fabrics were put together- gourds, leaves, pumpkins, acorns...

I did an all-over with lots of leaves and swirls.

These are all free-motion.

Lastly is this Christmas panel.

In my red, white and green variegated thread I did an all-over of holly leaves, stars and loops.

I used red in the bobbin for the red back.

Thanks Susie!
